Katherine’s writing explores auto/fiction narratives in various forms. She is drawn to conveying the nature of personal experience through the use of fictional strategies.

Katherine has recently completed her first novel, Playing in the Long Grass for submission for her Creative Writing PhD with Swinburne University, Melbourne.

Katherine’s creative writing has been commended in the AAWP First Chapter Prize and published in ACE 111: Arresting Contemporary Stories by Emerging Writers, and ACE IV: Arresting Contemporary Stories by Emerging Writers.

Katherine has presented her academic research at the Australasian Association of Writing Programs (AAWP) annual conference in Perth 2018, Sydney 2019, and Sunshine Coast 2022.

Katherine’s current projects involve a screen play, a zine series and a second novel.
